110:1
A Psalm of David
The Declaration of Yehovah to my Lord
“Sit to My Right; —
Until I make Your enemies
Into Your Footstool;”
Acts 2:34-35 King James Version
34 “For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:
‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
35 Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’ ”
110:2
“The Sceptre of Your Strength
Yehovah shall send from Zion; —
‘Rule Thou,
In the midst of Your enemies;’ ”
Revelation 2:27 King James Version
“And He shall rule them with a rod of iron;
as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers:
even as I received of my Father.”
110:3
“Your people by freewill,
In the day of Your Might,
In Majestic Holiness,
From a womb from pre-dawn greyness;
For You, —
The Dew of Your Youth!”
Lamentations 3:23 King James Version
“They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
1 Corinthians 15:55 King James Version
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?”
110:4
Yehovah has pledged Himself,
And He will not regret, —
“You are Priest forever;
According to My Manner,
Melchi-Tsedek (My King of Righteousness);”
Hebrews 7:15-16 King James Version
15 And it is yet far more evident:
for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment,
but after the power of an endless life.
110:5
“My Lord is at your right side,
He has shattered kingdoms
In the day of His anger;”
Daniel 2:44 King James Version
“And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.”
110:6
“He shall judge the nations
He has filled with dead bodies;
He crushed the head,
Many upon Earth;”
Luke 20:18 King James Version
“Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken;
but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.”
110:7
“On the journey He will drink from a torrent;
Therefore,
He will permit lifting up of Head.”
John 14:30 King James Version
“…the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?”
John 10:18 King James Version
“No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.”
John 12:32 King James Version
“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”
